BOMBOLO - Songs by Marf and Mascheroni
Marf (the pseudonym of Mario Bonavita, 1894-1946) and Vittorio Mascheroni (1895-1972) were a prolific music duo on the Italian pop music scene. Mascheroni was the composer, and Marf the lyricist. Their creations ranged from gentle love songs (Tu sempre tu, Dillo tu serenata) to ironic and funny descriptions of highly peculiar characters (Bombolo, Signor vigile, Io son Pacifico) always written with a smile. Their repertoire would also feature, from time to time, amusing tableaus such as the touristic Passeggiando per Milano or the surreal Vado in Cina e torno.
